Butterflies By Betsy!

  1. Oh Betsy I love what you are painting! Sal that's a wonderful photo of her; I can see how absorbed she is in her task.

Suggestion for another day. Fold her paper in half and draw the outline of half a butterfly ( 2 wings on one side of the creased line. daub paint( runny ) on only one half to decorate the wings, then fold the paper back in half to print matching wings on the other half. Then you end up with a butterfly with 4 wings that sort of match.

Have they tried doing greasy crayon resist, where you firstly draw with the crayon then use a watery paint wash over the top.
( anyone would think I liked teaching art! )
